No-Bake Crunch Bars

  • 1 cup organic rolled oats

  • 1/4 cup walnuts, roasted and chopped

  • 1/4 cup almonds, roasted and chopped

  • 1/4 cup pecans, roasted and chopped

  • 2 to 3 Tbsps brown rice syrup

  • 2 to 3 Tbsps barley malt


  1. Heat a skillet and dry-roast the oats for several minutes, stirring constantly to prevent burning and to evenly roast.

  2. Mix in the roasted, chopped nuts. Add the syrups and stir to mix thoroughly. Roast all the ingredients for 3 to 4 more minutes, stirring constantly, until the syrup begins to harden around the oat-nut mixture.

  3. Remove and crumble on top of any stewed fruit.

  • In place of nuts, you may substitute equal amounts of roasted sesame, pumpkin, and sunflower seeds and combine with the oats and syrup.
