Seitan with Sauerkraut

  • 8 pecies of seitan

  • 1 medium jar of sauerkraut

  • 1 tsp caraway seeds

  • 2 Tbsps arrowroot powder or agar-agar

  • bread crumbs

  • corn oil

  • sea salt

  • 1 bunch fresh watercress

  • water


  1. Heat up the sauerkraut with its juice and caraway seeds in a sauce pan. Simmer for 10 minutes and set aside.

  2. Roll seitan slices in arrowroot, diluted in 1/2 cup of water and dip in bread crumbs mixed with sea salt.

  3. Fry the seitan slices in corn oil until golden brown on both sides.

  4. Serve the seitan with sauerkraut and garnish with fresh watercress.
